Potty Trained

I was really hesitant to post this, but after a week I can safely say that Miss A has successfully been potty trained.

We used a method that one of my friends so graciously shared with me. The e-book is called 3 Day Potty Training. We modified this method to fit our lifestyle. I also wanted to make sure that it was very Miss A friendly. I did not want to push her into something that she wasn't ready for either.

I started Thursday afternoon. She had a few accidents, and Friday she had an accident that got her shoes wet! She HATED that! I think that was the turning point for her. Since then she's doing all her business in the toilet. Really, she got the hang of it this weekend. She's started telling me all the time when she needs to go. She even tells her teachers at the YMCA child care. I think this is a victory in itself! She also has told me she needed to go at Kindermusik and at the park (and she actually goes!).

I still put her in a diaper at night because I feel that night time dryness is a developmental issue. When she consistently wakes up dry, we'll think about switching to panties at night.

I am so proud of my little one. She is growing up too fast.

Yay for Audrey! Wow!!!!! What a big girl. So glad it seems it was relatively stress-free for both of you. And I totally agree about the night time pull-ups. Why make that a big deal? Let the kids sleep deeply. No need to stress them out about using the potty at night. What a great mom! Tell me, former Chato, did you ever think you'd be this excited about potty-training? hehe. The unexpected dreams are the best.

Hey Bonnie- way to go on the potty training thing. We are going to wait until this summer so I can work on it with Scarlett at home! I may be hitting you up for some tips!
