Earlier I was digging around for a bus book, and I saw the Hungry Caterpillar. I thought to myself that making a caterpillar like Eric Carle's would be very easy. I figured we could make that tomorrow. But after finishing the bus Audrey was still interested in playing with the craft stuff. (I think my toddler has a longer than normal attention span. She can stick with an activity for 20 minutes sometimes.) While Audrey looked through the book, I quickly cut a bunch of circles, a triangle, squares, and two sticks (for antenna).
After I was done cutting the parts, I read the book to her. Then it was glue time!
When we were done she insisted that I "fix" the caterpillar's eyes (I put a dot in the middle of each eye), and draw a mouth!! The caterpillar looks a little creepy now. You can click on the last picture and look at his face. Creepy.
