I'm sitting here just thinking. I have lots of housework to do, but I keep thinking about my life. I'm thinking about how our lives have been changed in the last few weeks. Brandon and I felt God calling us to Marshall, Texas in October 2007. I applied for a job in February, and I got it! Brandon quit his job and found another very quickly. We put our house on the market and it sold in less than 30 days. Audrey had tubes put in her ears before we moved. We found a wonderful home for Hazel. We had undeniable evidence that we should move to Marshall. We did find some opposition from our families, but we know in the end that we have made the best decision.
Since we've been in Marshall we have settled into our new place very easily. Even though we're living in a tiny dorm apartment (with no drawers I might add), we couldn't be happier. Audrey has adjusted very quickly. She loves all of the attention she gets from the sweet students on campus. I really have so many wonderful girls who are willing to watch Audrey at any time I need a moment to myself or to work in the office.
Today, I pulled into my parking space after grocery shopping. Hannah saw me get out of the car and came over to talk to Audrey and me. She was on her way to pick up a paycheck in the business office. She saw that I had lots and lots of bags in the back of my car. She asked, "Can I take Audrey up to the buisness office with me?" I was so happy to be able to unload my car without worrying about Audrey running into the street! She brought her back just about the time I had put away all the groceries.
A few weeks ago we met another new resident director (also dean of students) and the director of student activities (husband and wife). Joe and Lindsay have been really great friends since we met them. It's so nice to have friends who believe very similarily to us and love Jesus too. We could hang with them all day and all night. They told us that they would be watching Audrey once a week so Brandon and I could have a date night. Brandon commented that it is so refreshing to have friends who care about US as a couple. They have already blessed our lives in a few short weeks.
I didn't know what to expect when we moved here. I just knew that I had to leave and come here. We left our familes, friends, and my sister (and two precious neices who JUST moved to Spring...makes me cry even now), but I know that what God has planned for us here is even better than I can imagine.
I am experiencing Him like never before. He is revealing Himself to me and my family. I know that our time here will bring Him glory.

What a great perspective, and even sweeter to have confirmation in daily encouragement that you are right where you are supposed to be!
It was great seeing you this weekend!!! (and I absolutely love the blanket!!! and the socks...more later in a card) Thank you!
WOW! It is so sweet to be right where God wants you. It is sooooo tough to leave family and everything that is familiar to go where God calls. I know that yall have surely made some huge adjustments. It will be neat to see how God uses those to bless you.
Bonnie,
Thanks for sharing. It is very uplifting to hear that you and Brandon are following God's path, even when it is difficult.
Isn't it so weird.. how sometimes we are faced with something pretty hard to do (like.. leaving family to move half-way across state, etc.) but you know its right smack dab in the middle of God's will.. so its really not that hard at all?
I'm so glad the transition and move has gone so smoothly for all of you! We miss yall! Can't wait to get together with the whole gang again!
Oh P.S. I hear there may be a Condors reunion pretty soon. We'll miss yall!
I'm so glad things are going well for you! That was a great post!
Just checking on you from Thailand (on vacation) and loved this post. So glad God is affirming your decision to follow Him with little everyday reminders of His love and watchful care over your lives. I can so relate to what you've written. Never thought I'd end up where I am, but now that we're here, I really can't imagine serving Him anywhere else. Praying for God's fullest for the three of you. Love you, Bonnie!
So glad that things are going well for y'all! The best place to be is in the center of God's will...i know that you will be making a huge impact on so many people's lives there. Take care, Kim
